Here's where we've been this week. It's quite a mountain paradise. There are snow-capped mountains nearly 360° surrounding us on the horizon - to the North, East, NorthWest, and a smaller but prominent ridge to the South. There's even natural hot springs downtown. A truly beautiful place!

Everything at our end of town is over 7500' up, so it makes one a bit out of breath to even just walk around or swim a lap. After being here a couple days and having gone for some long walks, I was finally willing to brave a couple jogs. Run times are way down, but I did get in 5 miles in 50 minutes. Better than nothing. The hard one was swimming across the big pool underwater. I made it, barely, but there's just not enough air up here. Heather didn't jog much, but she did like the swimming parts =P
The place we're staying is not only larger, but also nicer than our apartment. Fully furnished, a nice kitchen with dishes, and even a 2-person jacuzzi tub. We bought groceries, cooked at home, rented movies, read books, went for some walks, and swam in the pool. It may sound uneventful, but it has actually felt like a real/relaxing vacation. We've planned some long drives for the coming weeks ahead, so it has been nice. Thanks again Dad Robin & Mom Linda for letting us stay here :)
Tomorrow, we'll be on our way to see the Guymons (on Monday) - yay!
