Chicago highlights:
- I got a ticket on in Wisconsin that morning. Wait, that wasn't a highlight.
- Parking was $23 on the pier (for a day) and $26 downtown (also for a day). Too bad we only parked at either one for a couple hours. Ouch. Also not really a highlight.
- It was stormy when we got to town. This might have been an unhighlight, but it was also kinda fun. Especially since it almost totally cleared up for some fantastic views later in the day.
- As for an actual highlight, we saw the famous "front yard" fountain. Not at night with colored lights, but it was still cool since no one else was out there with us in the rain. Millions of people in the city and we were basically the only ones playing outside :)
- We got to ride the ferris wheel on Navy Pier.
- We ate lunch at Bubba Gump's - quite good and quite entertaining. The gratuitous references to the movie were mostly forgivable. We're even bringing home a souvenir glass.
- We got to drive in lots of crazy traffic. Not much of a highlight, but worth mentioning.
- We went on top of the Sears Tower. Definitely a high point in the day =P
After the Windy City, we had a lovely drive down to Crawfordsville, Indiana. For a while we could see that cool sunlight effect of God looking down at us from on high. We got to Troy's while it was still light at 8pm or so. Though it was his birthday, he fed us a great steak dinner.

The pictures from Chicago are beautiful. Sounds like you had a good time. I'm a little jealous Heather, as I've never been there. mom
Pretty cool, but it sounds expensive. Try not to get anymore tickets, you two.
Fat chance on the tickets. Remember: 10,000 miles is like a full year of driving as far as hours and opportunities for mistakes go. Hopefully that's it, though. We're certainly being careful.
We're going to the Strawberry Festival! I'll see you there!
Hey it was so nice to meet you all.. check out my blog...Good luck in the future.
